Super Panga Tour to the Arch — Land's End, Cabo San Lucas
A shared super panga tour around the Arch of Cabo San Lucas, the sea lion colony, and the rocky formations of Land's End (Finisterra) — with the possibility of stopping at Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach when sea conditions allow.
The Arch and Land's End (Finisterra)
Land's End — known in Spanish as Finisterra — is the southernmost tip of the Baja California Peninsula, where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. This dramatic collision of two bodies of water sculpted the Arch of Cabo San Lucas over millions of years. Seen from the water, the scale of the arch and the surrounding cliffs is something photos from shore simply cannot capture.
The tour also passes the resident sea lion colony on the rocks, Pelican Rock, and the vertical cliff walls that change color throughout the day.
Lover's Beach and Divorce Beach
At the base of Land's End sit two famous beaches. Lover's Beach faces the calm Sea of Cortez side — swimmable in designated areas when conditions are right. Divorce Beach faces the open Pacific — strong surf, swimming is prohibited, but you can walk the sand.
Beach drop-off is always subject to wave conditions on the day. When the swell is moderate, the super panga can approach the shore closely enough to let passengers step off. The captain makes this call in real time — not before departure.
Super panga vs basic marina pangas
At the Cabo marina, vendors sell similar-sounding tours from $290–$350 MXN in basic lanchas. Here's what's actually different:
| Feature | Walk-up marina panga | King Yacht Super Panga |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $290–$350 MXN/person | $650 MXN/person (~$35 USD) |
| Boat size | Small boats, less stable | Large super pangas (30+ ft) |
| Boat quality | Variable, basic work boats | Higher-quality super panga |
| Booking | Walk-up, no reservation | WhatsApp reservation |
| Large groups | Limited | Ideal — whole group together |
When a private yacht makes more sense
The super panga tour is the right choice for a focused 45–60 minute scenic loop around the Arch. If you want more time on the water, snorkeling at Chileno Bay, onboard catering, fishing, or a custom multi-hour route, a private yacht is the better fit. Also available: snorkeling yacht tours and sport fishing charters.
